No. Your NearBuddy account is anonymous — there is no phone number, email address, real name, password, one-time code, or identity check. Your session simply keeps you signed in on your device.

NearBuddy is strictly for adults aged 18 or older. Your age is self-declared at sign-up, and accounts for anyone under 18 are not allowed.

No. Because accounts are anonymous, a lost, deleted, or inaccessible account cannot be recovered or restored. If you use NearBuddy again, you start a new, separate account.

NearBuddy is meant to be used with a single genuine account. Creating multiple or abusive accounts is against the Community Guidelines.

Details you choose within the app — such as a display name, age, gender, who you are looking for, height, weight, body type, and where you would like to meet — along with your photos.

Yes, you can edit much of your profile in the app. Some fields may be limited to a set number of changes.

Before a photo leaves your device, NearBuddy re-encodes it and removes embedded location (EXIF/GPS) data. Any face detection used to crop a thumbnail runs on your device and is not uploaded. Even so, check what is visibly shown in a photo before adding it.

Public profiles must stay clean and appropriate — no nudity, sexual or explicit content, content involving minors, or illegal content, and no phone numbers, social-media handles, or other external contact details.

With your permission, NearBuddy uses your device location while you are using the app to work out how near other people are.

No. Your exact location is never shown to other users — they see only an approximate distance. NearBuddy does not use background location.

Yes. Nearby discovery can surface people close by, from across town to just around the corner. You choose the distance range you are comfortable with.

You can decline or turn off the location permission in your device settings. Proximity features may then be limited.

Yes. The people who liked your profile show up for free, and you decide who to connect with.

When you and another person like each other, it becomes a mutual match, and a private conversation opens between you.

No. NearBuddy cannot guarantee that you will receive particular profiles, that anyone will like you back, or that suitable people are available in your area at any time.

A private conversation opens once you and another person have a mutual match. NearBuddy may also let you send an eligible message before a match, where offered.

No. NearBuddy does not proactively monitor private conversations between consenting adults. Harmful, illegal, or exploitative conduct is still prohibited, and you can Block and Report at any time.

That appears when the other person has deleted their account. Their messages, name, and profile are no longer available, and the conversation cannot be continued.

You and that person can no longer interact, you are removed from each other's discovery, and any likes, dislikes, and mutual-match links between you are removed. Blocking is permanent — there is no unblock list.

You can report a profile using these reasons: Fake or scam, Inappropriate content, Harassment, Underage, Spam, and Other.

The person you report is not told that a report was submitted. Reporting on its own does not automatically remove someone — if you also want to stop interacting, block them as well.

Yes. Each completed account is given a referral code you can share to invite friends.

No. The referral link you share contains only your referral code, with no tracking parameters.

No. NearBuddy does not verify identity, age, or background, and does not monitor every interaction. Please use your own judgement and read our Safety Information.

Take your time, tell a trusted person where you are going, meet in a public place, arrange your own transport, and do not share sensitive personal or financial information. Leave if you feel uncomfortable.

Do not send money or share payment details. Requests for money, gifts, or "verification" payments are a common scam — stop, do not pay, and report the person.

NearBuddy is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or law-enforcement authority right away.

Yes. NearBuddy is free to download and use. There is also an optional paid Ad-Free Subscription.

What it includes is shown in the app and on the store purchase screen when you subscribe, and the current price is shown there before you buy. It is offered in 1-month, 3-month, 6-month, and 1-year durations.

Subscriptions are purchased and billed only through Google Play or the Apple App Store. NearBuddy never collects or stores your card or bank details.

Yes. It auto-renews until you cancel, and the app store charges you for each period at the price it then shows.

Cancel any time in your Google Play or Apple account subscription settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; your Ad-Free access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds are controlled by Google Play or Apple under their own policies and applicable law. NearBuddy does not issue store refunds itself and does not guarantee a refund — please submit any refund request to the app store.

During a store grace period, your Ad-Free access can continue while payment is retried. If the issue is not resolved, the subscription may go on hold and access turns off until it is fixed.

While signed in, open the app and tap Delete Account. A single confirmation appears; when you confirm, deletion begins immediately and is permanent.

No. There is no email, one-time code, or password step, no waiting period, and no cancellation window — confirming deletes your account and content right away.

No. Deletion is permanent. Your account, content, and messages cannot be restored, transferred, or moved to a new account.

No. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel or refund a store subscription. Cancel auto-renewal separately in Google Play or Apple to stop future charges. If you have an active paid benefit, only a minimum, non-content record is kept until the period you already paid for ends.

Only what is needed to run its features — your anonymous account, the profile details and photos you add, your while-in-use location for distance, your matches and messages, and your subscription status if you subscribe. It does not collect your email, phone number, real name, contacts, or card or bank details.

NearBuddy's free experience is supported by ads, which you can remove with the optional Ad-Free Subscription. Aside from advertising, NearBuddy does not use third-party analytics, crash-reporting, push notifications, or website tracking, and it never sells your personal information.

See the NearBuddy Privacy Policy and the plainer-language Data Policy on the website.

From official sources only: Google Play and the Apple App Store where offered, or the official direct app file (APK) from https://near-buddy.com and its official GitHub Releases.

On Android, check for the official package name com.nearbuddy.mobile, and use only the download link on the official NearBuddy website. Where a checksum is published for a release, you can verify your file against it.

No. Never install modified, cracked, or unofficial copies — they can contain malware or steal your information. Only official sources are genuine.

The current version, device compatibility, price, and availability are shown on the official store listing and download page — please rely on those rather than figures quoted elsewhere.

Email namavitech@gmail.com for support, privacy and data questions, account-deletion help, payment questions, refunds, grievances, and child-safety concerns.

Support is by email. NearBuddy does not offer 24/7 support, live chat, or phone support, and does not promise a fixed response time. It is not an emergency service.

Both are reachable at namavitech@gmail.com — the Grievance Officer for formal concerns about the service or your data, and the Child Safety Contact for child-safety concerns. For a specific account, also use the in-app Report tool (reason: Underage).
